Who is your favourite magician?
During the 2016 tour of our Unbelievable show, we held a Q&A session at the end of each show. Obviously we couldn’t answer any questions about how we did our latest mind blowing miracles, but a popular question was ‘Who is your favourite magician?’
Jeff
“For me I would probably say that I have many magicians that I like but the top of the list would be the 2 Davids. David Nixon and David Copperfield. Both of them have left me speechless and wondering how on earth they did what I just saw.
My jaw hit the floor at one point when he made a stunning 1960s car appear just inches from where I was sitting
David Nixon was the first magician I ever saw and I can remember watching him when I was around 7 or 8 and being amazed at his magic.
More recently I got the chance to see Copperfield perform in Las Vegas. Indeed, we were invited to sit at his VIP table to enjoy the show and it was incredible. My jaw hit the floor at one point when he made a stunning 1960s car appear just inches from where I was sitting. Incredible! He knew we were magicians so we were invited back stage to meet him. It was a great experience.”

“Like Jeff there are many magicians that I have and do admire for many different reason. Many of them are unknown to the general public but are big names in the world of magic and renowned for their creativity (Kevin James), elegance of performance (Dimmare and Yu Ho Jin), comedy magic (David Williamson) or just sheer brilliance (Yann Frisch and Danny DaOrtiz).
However if asked who I thought was the best all round magician I’ve seen then it would have to be Paul Daniels. I grew up watching him on a Saturday night and he was a master of his craft. Having had the good fortune to meet him a few times I also found out that he was a very generous man with his time and was happy to share his knowledge.”
So as the title of this blog post asks, who is your favourite magician? We’d love to know.
