Fifth Dimension receive commendation 12/10/2006
Fifth Dimension received national recognition for their innovative, creative training when they received a commendation for their work with Thorpe Molloy Recruitment in the Creative Based Training category at the Arts & Business Scottish Awards held in the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh.
Ivor Smith of Fifth Dimension says, "We are delighted to have received a commendation recognising the collaborative approach that we have taken with Thorpe Molloy to introduce a creative approach in business. The innovative techniques that we use inject creativity into what could otherwise be perceived as a dry training session. We ensure that a serious message is delivered in a fun way resulting in an enjoyable training session where the key messages are not only delivered but also retained."
Presenting the honours, Patricia Ferguson, Scotland's tourism, culture and sport minister, said: "These awards highlight the mutual benefits that creative sponsorship can bring and we cannot underestimate the importance of these relationships.
"I am delighted that increasing numbers of Scottish businesses are recognising opportunities, not simply to invest in the arts and culture, but also to become engaged with the communities they operate in."
Arts and Business Scotland director Barclay Price said: "The winning partnerships show how businesses and the arts can work together to make a significant and enriching impact on the lives of employees, children and the local community, and bring significant business benefits to the sponsoring companies."
